How to: Katatetori Ikkyo!
Many of you will notice that it’s very similar to a technique I posted not too long ago, Shomenuchi Ikkyo - and that’s because it’s the same technique! They simply use different entrances, and we decided to film this one with no weapon to show the basic Ikkyo pin.
This technique is one of the most basic, and often required on a 7th kyu exam. Lots of techniques in the future build off of a similar entrance.
